IGNPC: You guys have had a great response from the demo, but one thing keeps coming up...Doom. How do you feel about the many comparisons with Doom?

Roman Ribaric: We don't have any problem with that. Doom is one of the best games I ever played. Here at Croteam, we're not just game developers, we're gamers also. We noticed one interesting thing: since Doom and MDK, there were not many games that honor that frantic action style. That's a shame. So we decided to revive old style gaming. I hope it will be a success, not only for Serious Sam, but for the whole forgotten game-genre
