Action Vault: Fighting Legends seems to have a distinctive art style. Has anime or any other forms of art been an influence?

Brandon Gillam: The style draws heavily from the latest generation of Japanese pulp art (animation and comics), and from an array of other classic fantasy masters like Preston Blair or Frank Frazetta. Our goal was to match the youthful positive vibe of the Zelda style with an element of martial arts and Squaresoft type blending of technology and fantasy. The list of influences is just too huge to mention!
