The process of restoring Diablo 2 hardcore and standard characters will begin on Sunday January 7th, 6:00 P.M PST (GMT -8). This process requires that the realms be shut down for 24 hours, with the exception of the Asian Realm, which will take 30 hours due to the large number of characters on that realm. We expect that all realms will be running by Tuesday January 10th 12:00 A.M. PST (GMT -8). All hardcore characters that died between December 19th and January 1st will be restored with the experience, skills and items possessed as of Tuesday, December 19th. This restore will be automatic and players do not need to contact Blizzard to request that their character be restored. Again, only dead hardcore characters that died between December 19th and January 1st will be revived. Players that wish to have characters reverted to the December 19 version can manually flag their character to be restored as well. Follow the steps below. Logon to Battle.net Select the character you wish to have restored. Enter the Diablo II realm. Use the command “/dec19rollback yes” You must follow those steps in order to add your character to the list of characters that will be rolled back to its form on December 19th, 2000. Use the command “/help dec19rollback” for further Instructions. The deadline to use the roll back command is Saturday, January 6th, 11:59 P.M. PST (GMT -8).
