Activision hebt Erwartungen

Wie uns Activision heute mitteilte, werden die Erwartungen für das laufende Fiskalquartal sowie das Fiskaljahr angehoben.

Aufgrund starker Nachfrage erwarte das Unternehmen im ersten Quartal 165 Millionen Dollar Umsatz und 18 Cent Gewinn pro Aktie. Bisher ging man von 10 Cent je Aktie bei einem Umsatz von 145 Millionen Dollar aus.

Für das Gesamtjahr rechne der Softwareriese mit ca 890 Millionen Dollar Umsatz und 1,10 Dollar Gewinn je Aktie (Erwartung: 1,02 Dollar/Aktie).

Ron Doornink, President, sagte dazu, "Activision’s increased earnings and revenue guidance reflects our confidence in the overall marketplace and our strategies to take advantage of the industry’s growth. During fiscal 2003, the company expects to continue its record performance and will release its largest slate ever, more than 65 titles, the majority of which will be based on proven brand franchises."
