PSOne- und PS2-Spielstände übertragbar

Sony hat im Gegensatz zu Microsoft eine Möglichkeit gefunden, Spielstände von Vorgängerkonsolen auf das neueste Modell - in diesem Fall die PS3 - zu übertragen.
Auf der offiziellen PS3-Seite findet sich dazu folgendes FAQ:
Q: How do I save my PlayStation 2 memory card information to PlayStation 3?
A: To use saved data on a PlayStation 2 memory card, you must copy the data onto a virtual memory card within the hard disk. This requires a PS2/PSone memory card adaptor to copy the data to your PlayStation 3. A memory card adaptor is designed to edit, up/download game saves to and from EMS flash card or smart media card."

Leider wird das ganze keine kostenlose Angelegenheit, denn die Portierung alter Spielstände setzt einen speziellen Adapter voraus, dessen Preis noch unbekannt ist. Unklar ist ebenfalls, ob jedes Savegame einzeln berechnet wird, oder ob der Adapter ein einmaliger Kauf ist.
