PlanetSide spielbar auf der E3

So wie es aus sieht, wird PlanetSide dem breiten Publikum auf der E3 zugänglich gemacht und man soll es sogar schon spielen können, na dann mal ran:

Hi folks,

It's been a couple months since Blackbird last locked me in my office to write a Producer Letter (a very effective technique, I might add). This time the mere threat of it in his beady little eyes was all I needed for inspiration.

So, where to start? Ah, E3. Our two main foci these last couple months have been aimed at accomplishing the following: (1) furthering PlanetSide's technology, art assets, and gameplay; and, (2) getting ready for E3. This is often a fairly tricky proposition, for as much as we just want to keep aggressively progressing forward internally, we do have to deliver a great E3 version, which means we need to set aside a number of weeks just for general clean-up and polish. This is a fairly standard cost for any developer demonstrating a product at E3.

That said, those of you that are going to E3 will be in for a nice surprise. We're going to have a strong showing of PlanetSide at Sony Online Entertainment's booth this year and, better yet, we'll let you walk up and play it!

I can't get really go into detail about what we'll be showing at E3 (Marketing and PR would lynch me), but, fortunately, Blackbird has kept all of you in mind and is setting up media updates for our webpage to coincide with the E3 dates.

Last, but not least, this time I need to give a special nod to the entire PlanetSide team. The last couple months have been - well, brutal - working late daily and on the weekends, but all of the team's collective efforts have resulted in what we'll be unveiling at E3. And although I'm biased, I think you'll agree that it was time well spent when you see what we'll be showing. So without further ado, great job team.
